FP&A Analyst

This organization is a global leader in the provision of information data across the financial services industry.
The core responsibilities of this role include;
- Management of enterprise-wide strategic planning process (budgets, multi-year plans, quarterly forecasts
- Delivering accurate and timely analysis to successfully execute on FP&A’s mission
- Continuously develop and maintain reporting, analytical and modeling capabilities and methodologies to support team’s role as a reporting and analytics center of excellence
- Supporting Executive Leadership’s interactions with the investor community and Board of Directors
- Monitor financial performance versus plan and versus stated long-term growth objectives
- Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis, supporting various business units and functional groups
- Partner with Corporate Accounting during close-to-disclose cycles by preparing recurring and ad hoc financial analysis to help facilitate Senior Management’s understanding of underlying business dynamics
- Collaborate with Financial Systems on the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes to ensure accurate data collection
- Working with business partners to ensure Enterprise FP&A is up to date on any impending changes
- Proactively interface with other finance teams across the organization
- Provide formal and informal training on financial concepts and systems to the organization
- Manage and develop a team of FP&A analysts by prioritizing team initiatives and workflow
Key requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree from an AACSB accredited college or university required (Business, Finance, or related financial discipline preferred), MBA a plus
- 3-5+ years of experience in either a corporate or business unit finance role, an accounting firm, investment banking
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of demonstrated quantitative and finance skills in educational and professional backgrounds
- Strong working knowledge of corporate business processes and fundamental Finance/Accounting concepts
- Understanding of key valuation concepts such as those needed for modeling M&A transactions
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills
- Detail-oriented, pro-active and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to deadlines with minimal supervision
- Expert level Excel skills
- A knowledge of financial planning and business intelligence systems is an advantage
- Hands on and lead from the front approach
